Blackhawk Golf Club and Calgary & Edmonton (1891) Railway Museum

Blackhawk Golf Club : It is situated in the north Saskatchewan river valley which is situated about 10 mins west of Edmonton. It is open since 2003; smallish greens with unique and bold contouring are offered by this popular golf course. It is designed by rod Whitman. Rod Whitman also designed the wolf creek golf resort and the course runs along the banks of the North Saskatchewan River. Sometimes boats chugging on the river and wildlife splashing in the shallows can make concentrating on your swing a challenge, but it all adds to the charm of the course, which is rapidly becoming a favorite with golfers for its challenging layout and natural design. For staying in Edmonton select only hotels in Edmonton.
Calgary & Edmonton (1891) Railway Museum : During july and august, and by appointment in the winter, you can travel back in time to see what old stathcona’s railway station was really like. The station was used until 1907, when anew one was built. The museum is home to a working telegraph service, which was the main method of communication in the early days.
